general update...

Hi, my loves.
I hope you’re all well and enjoying the slow advance into springtime. I spent much of the last few weeks flat on my back recovering from a serious back problem that is now clearing up. Thank you all for justifying my love with your friendship, encouragement, prayers, and general wisdom. I am a blessed woman. You all are the reason I still have faith that there is goodness in the human race (contrary to our track record as a whole...).
So I’m feeling better, moving forward, and focusing my efforts on getting back in the swing of things mentally and emotionally. Being incapacitated can take a serious toll on one’s mind and spirit state if you’re not careful and I was not very careful. I was tired, and impatient, and frustrated, and not focused truly on healing. So now I have to pay the price, my typically enthusiastic, energetic, active attitude has been dampered a bit and I must get myself a revival. I do this in many ways. I focus on my spirit for several hours of the day and work on cleaning up the negative stuff that started to settle in while I was unwell. I am spring cleaning my house. including turning a room that max used as a playroom, into a play/work room for myself....and it is a seriously overwhelming task but it needs to be done so that I can breath again. I am starting to get busy here on myspace again reaching out to my myspace loves and letting them know that I’m still here, that I still have LOVE AND LIGHT for them(you) all. I’m loosely planning the next week. Not the next month. Not the next year. Not my whole life. Just next week. Slowly I’m starting to feel the blood circulate again, and it feels good. It’s not optimal yet, but it is improving with every moment. While I was down, I got so many vigilant messages from people who cheered my on while I battled with my disfunctional vertebrae, and my inner turmoil. It was incredible. I got angels. That’s no joke. I got angels and you all are that.

If you find that you’re annoyed with slow loading myspace profiles, I have discovered that the internet explorer browser basically sucks and that mozilla firefox is the ultimate and loads so fast you will never want to use internet explorer again. so check it ouuuuuuuut. i endorse them wholeheartedly (and there is no money involved in this...just sharing the love...) all you have to do is download it and set it as your default browser. myspacing will never be the same...watch and see.

MYSPACE HAS A NEW APPLICATION (APPS) SECTION where you can add all kinds of cool features and activities that are interactive just like the ones on facebook. There are games, and polls, and phototools and all kinds of fun stuff. I’ve been playing around with the Photo Shout Out tool for the past week. It allows you to post a voice message attached to a photo from your myspace albums to anyone on your friends list. It’s really a nice feature. The games are just silly little time passers but you can challenge your friends if they add the same thing to their apps section and compete for the best scores. A few days ago I posted the Honesty Box which is an anonymous confessional. There are many categories and options to choose from. I think it’s pretty fun...(again, I don’t get paid for saying it. I just want to share the love and interact with some of you if possible thru the channels available.)Check out myspace apps and add some today so that we can interact with each other.

Max says thanks for the birthday wishes. He got a rat (that we named Shaqueeta...heehee), a new electric guitar, a high school level home schooling text book for marine biology, dissecting tools and several marine biology specimens to dissect. He’s already thru the first chapter including voluntarily taken notes and is about to take the chapter quiz. (and yes, this birthday gift was HIS idea...)
addendum: (I almost forgot, he also got a pair of those super skinny rocker jeans...he put them on when he got them home and started to pop lock...

URB ALT NEW YORK CITY INVITES YOURS TRULY TO PERFORM!!!
This California girl is spreading the news, that in June I’ll be flying to NYC to perform at the fantastically diverse and phenomenal URB ALT Festival III NYC which is the brainchild of my good friend Boston Fielder of Muthawit fame. I’m so excited, you can’t even imagine. It is seriously expensive to try to take my whole band there to perform and that’s what has kept me from doing it sooner. But I’ve just recently struck up an agreement with the very hot, very hip Afropunk Rock band PILLOW THEORY who have agreed to accompany me on stage as my band. I can barely stand it!!!! There are rumors (but you didn’t hear it from me...Saul Williams is in negotiations for the same night’s bill...would that not be a grand concoction???)
